Don’t Call it a Comeback

You know we got pretty bored with blogging around the Cooler after a while. So we took a bit of a breather. Sorry for the lack of notice. But we are back, rejuvenated and prepared to take on the caucus. Honestly, what would you have done without us?

Now that the pleasantries are out of the way we have a big debate tonight on the GOP side so you can’t count on the Cooler for thoughts and reactions after its complete. But before we get to that, here’s a recap of what’s happened since we’ve been gone.

Gilmore called the big 3 “Rudy McRomney”
McCain joked about bombing Iran in song.
McCain took a nose dive in the national polls and took the lead in the IA,NH, SC troika
Romney talked at great length about how he hunted a couple of varmints
Romney named Battlefield Earth and the Bible as his two favorite books
Romney sent out some DVD’s and gained some mo’ mo’ mo’ mentum in the polls
Rudy talked about the War on Terror
Rudy took a big lead in the polls, until Fred Thompson came in and he came back to earth
Fred is the new candidate du jour
The 2nd tier became the 3rd tier and there is no 2nd tier except maybe Newt or Fred
Tommy Thompson made some racial jokes
John Cox got locked out of the debates
Rudy signed on, Lundby and Joy Corning. He’s eventually going to find a soco supporter in Iowa we are assuming.
Romney announced IA college students, a good chunk of county chairs, Debi Durham, and Marv Pomerantz
McCain announced on Jeff Lamberti, Greg Ganske, veterans, a handful of county chairs
Tommy Thompson still has Grubbs
David Yepsen is starting to like Rudy
Brownback, Giuliani (supposedly), Thompson, Tancredo all have Iowa offices.
Grassley said on Iowa Press “aw shucks they’re all good”
Krusty put the comments up then took them down then back up then down then up again.

Everybody feel caught up now? See you tomorrow around the Cooler.
